Affirmative action ban proposal goes to trial Opponents of Initiative 424, which would ban affirmative action in Nebraska, filed a lawsuit seeking to keep the proposed constitutional amendment off the November ballot. The trial started Oct. 6 before Lancaster County Judge Karen Flowers.
