Aug 19, 2007 — Always in August. The thermometer reads 82 degrees. Perspiration beads up on your forehead and your clothes cling to your skin. Absolutely no breeze stirs the still, silent darkness. Air is so humid and so thick that it almost takes effort to breathe.
