A public defender investigator, an insurance underwriter and a congressional aide observed first-hand physicians at work Monday in area hospitals. The two-day “Mini-interns” program is aimed at giving those in the non-medical professions a first-hand knowledge of how medicine is practiced in the ever-changing health-care industry.
