SPRINGFIELD – A state board has approved plans for a new weight-loss surgery center in northwest Champaign, and its developer hopes to have it open by the summer of 2009. The Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board voted 3-1 Tuesday to award a certificate of need required for construction of the facility.
