On March 1, 2005, Khalliah McGinty, unit coordinator for outpatient surgery at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, underwent weight-loss surgery. The surgery was performed by Garth Davis, M.D. and Robert Davis, M.D. at The Methodist Hospital in Houston. Since the surgery, McGinty has lost 52 pounds.
